Chiefs’ Frank Clark Arrested With Uzi

We know the Kansas City Chiefs offense has a plethora of weapons at their disposal. But now, the defense may be just as dangerous. We learned today that defensive end Frank Clark apparently carries an Uzi submachine gun with him while driving (who doesn’t?). If you’re not familiar with Uzis, the gun is a common source of personal defense and one of the preferred methods utilized by Tony Montana to protect his haul of cocaine.

Clark was pulled over Sunday night in Los Angeles and police noticed an Uzi partially sticking out of a bag in his car (side note: should you be traveling with an Uzi, make sure to completely conceal the weapon, in the event you are pulled over.) Clark was then arrested Monday morning on suspicion of having a concealed firearm in a vehicle, a felony, per Kansas City's Fox 4. The 28-year-old Clark, who signed a five-year contract worth over $100 million in 2019, was released after posting $35,000 bond.

Chiefs beat writer Sam McDowell says the Chiefs are yet to comment on the arrest.

 

Clark was a second-round selection of the Seahawks in the 2015 draft. Over three seasons in Seattle, he accumulated 35 sacks. The former Michigan Wolverine likely would’ve been a first-round pick, had he not been kicked off his college team following a domestic abuse charge. The Chiefs traded for Clark prior to the 2019 season, and he’s since recorded back-to-back pro bowl seasons.

Clark's arrest aside, after he was beaten up in the Super Bowl last February, Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes must be feeling a sense of relief knowing that his teammates are taking protection more seriously this offseason.
