Charger RB Austin Ekeler Well-Versed In Fantasy Football Pain
Austin Ekeler said he was garbage at Fantasy Football on Richard Sherman's podcast, and we've never felt more understood. Hardly any of us are good at Fantasy, Austin. We just show everyone our teams after the draft and never mention our squads again.
"My teams are all terrible," he said. "It was about the journey not necessarily that I'm not in the Fantasy championship."
We love this because most NFL stars are reluctant to discuss their Fantasy impacts. And it makes sense when you consider they have a job to do, but it's refreshing to see someone in the league embrace this aspect of football.
Makes Austin Ekeler an easy guy to root for since so many of us have invested money, oftentimes too much, into Fantasy sports. The fifth-year Chargers back has run for 847 yards with a career-best 11 touchdowns on the season. Hopefully there's more to come...
