Buccaneers WR Miller Says He's Faster Than Chiefs Speed Demon Tyreek Hill
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2019 sixth-round pick Scotty Miller got a lot of exposure on Sunday after he scored a critical touchdown right at the end of the half of the NFC title game in Lambeau Field against the Packers.
Miller got even more exposure on Tuesday when Hall of Fame wide out Cris Carter came out and said that the Packers underestimated Miller because...wait for it...he's white.
"He's white. I'm black. I'm going to say this... The Defensive Back underestimated that white kid," Carter said Tuesday on The Pat McAfee Show.
Now Miller is making waves of his own. Speaking Wednesday on The Dan Patrick Show, the second-year Bucs receiver says that he thinks that he's FASTER than speedy Kansas City Chiefs wide out Tyreek Hill and would beat him one-on-one in a footrace.
“I’m taking me, every day of the week,” Miller said on the show.
“I’ll take me over anybody. Tyreek is unbelievable, super quick, unbelievable talent. But if we’re talking about a race, I’ve got all the confidence in myself going up against anybody.”
Here's a tweet with the clip of Miller talking about Hill.
Many think that Hill is not only the fastest wide out but the fastest player in all of the NFL. PFT reports that Hill ran a 4.29 at his Pro Day a few years back, while Miller ran a 4.39
Here's a bit of that speed from Hill, so you can decide on who is faster.
Miller is largely an unknown but has made some big plays in the postseason. In the regular season, he had 33 grabs for 501 yards and three scores. He's also one of Tom Brady's favorites, which doesn't hurt.
Hill had a huge season for Kansas City, pulling in 87 catches for 1,276 yards and 15 scores.
The two receivers will have a chance to prove their speed and big play ability in Super Bowl LV in Tampa a week from Sunday.
