Browns Safety Tweets Mid-Game That Offense Should Run Through Nick Chubb, Not Baker Mayfield

Not only was the Cleveland Browns' fan base vocal during the game against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday, but Browns safety John Johnson III also chimed in mid-game to voice his frustration with the offense's play-calling.

While the safety didn't play in Saturday's game due to an injured hamstring, he took to social media to share his thoughts after Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield threw his second interception of the half during Cleveland's third possession of the game.

The Browns scored a touchdown on a six-play, 70-yard drive on their next possession — four of which were pass plays — though Mayfield threw another interception on the following drive, Sports Illustrated reports.

Mayfield completed 21-of-36 passes for 222 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions on the game, while running back Nick Chubb was responsible for 126 yards on 17 carries. As a team, the Browns ran for 219 yards on 25 attempts — averaging 8.8 yards per carry.

Sports Illustrated reports that Mayfield was candid in his post-game interview, saying that he hurt the team with his poor play.

The Browns (7-8) will look to turn things around after the loss as they travel to face the Pittsburgh Steelers (7-6) in Week 17 on Jan. 2 before hosting the Cincinnati Bengals (8-6) on Jan. 9 in Week 18 to wrap up the regular season.
