Brother Of Victim Involved In Fatal Henry Ruggs Crash Comments On The Incident
Djordje Tintor is mourning the loss of his sister, 23-year-old Tina Tintor, who died in an accident caused by former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III on Nov. 2. Djordje is also supporting his grieving parents as they mourn the loss of their youngest child.
Djordje spoke with USA Today and gave an update on the family.
“I almost can’t even look at them,’’ Djordje said, regarding his parents. “Every time I look at them, it just breaks my heart.’’
Ruggs, whom the Raiders released shortly after the crash, has been charged with DUI and manslaughter and faces up to 26 years in prison. He was driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.16, double the legal limit, and hit a top speed of 156 MPH during the buzzed joyride.
The suddenness of the news has truly rattled the family.
“It doesn’t feel real,’’ the brother noted. “It’s like, 'What are the chances, you know?'’’
On Thursday, video footage was released showcasing Ruggs' activities leading up to the accident. Hours before, he was swinging away at the local Vegas Top Golf.
Ruggs, who was accompanied by girlfriend Kiara Kilgo-Washington, caused the accident at around 3 a.m. Ruggs' Corvette struck Tina's vehicle, traveling well over 100 MPH, which led to her death and the death of her pet dog. Both victims remained trapped in the flames of the vehicle.
Kilgo-Washington was also treated for injuries following the crash.
Though off to a solid second season, Ruggs will likely soon have to trade his NFL jersey for prison garb. The thoughts and prayers of everyone at OutKick are with Tina Tintor and her family.
