Bears Starting QB Job Handed Back To Fields

Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields is set to return and will start against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.

Head coach Matt Nagy said during a Wednesday press conference that Fields has been medically cleared and is set to start.

Fields has been out since Week 11 when he suffered a rib injury against the Baltimore Ravens. QB Andy Dalton took over in his place, going 1-1 during that span with a 16-14 win in Detroit but a 22-33 loss to the Cardinals.

Though the 4-8 Bears head to Green Bay as the unfavorable team, Fields said that doesn't bother him.

“I like being the underdog," Fields said during Wednesday's news conference. "I think it just gives me an extra chip on my shoulder. I like when people doubt me, that just gives me extra motivation.”

The Bears (4-8) will face the Green Bay Packers (9-3) in Sunday's Week 14 game at Lambeau Field, with kickoff set for 7:20 CST.
