Baker Mayfield Takes Another Shot At Colin Cowherd After Playoff Win

Just a week ago, the Browns clinched a playoff spot thanks to Baker Mayfield's third-down play call dedicated to Colin Cowherd. After the Browns stomped on the Steelers in the Wild Card game Sunday night, the quarterback had something else for the Fox Sports personality.

During his postgame Zoom session with reporters, Mayfield stopped himself before answering the first question and made sure to turn his hat backwards to take another shot at Cowherd, who doesn't like that Mayfield sometimes wears his hat backwards.

Cowherd spent part of his Friday show focused on how Mayfield and his backward hat appeared during a Zoom call as the Browns prepared to face the Steelers.

“Hmm interesting. Wearing his hat backwards. What happened to Carson Wentz’s season when he went to the podium with his hat on backwards? Oooooh, your bad. His season unraveled. 

"We went and looked at Aaron Rodgers this morning. Twenty-two times we have footage of him at a podium or on TV this year. Beanie or hat on forwards.

"I will tell you the quarterbacks I like this weekend: Big Ben, hat forward. Brees, always hat forward. Lamar Jackson doesn’t wear a hat. Brady, last 15 years, hat forward. Goff plays hat forward. And Josh Allen, to this point, though he’s young, has been hat forward. 

"Look at that It just says, 'Playoff loss,' doesn’t it? Doesn’t that just say, 'Down 12, sack, fumble, minute and a half to play'? Doesn’t say, 'Playoff winner' to me. Says, 'Things are unraveling in Pittsburgh this weekend.'"
