Are The Buffalo Bills Serious About Being In The Mix For Eagles TE Zach Ertz?

Pro Bowl tight end Zach Ertz's destination as to where he will play in 2021 remains a hot NFL topic, as a player who has an impressive resume still is waiting on teams to come calling his current club, the Philadelphia Eagles, about a potential trade.

One AFC team that could be in the mix for Ertz are the Buffalo Bills, a club that is trying to stockpile offensive firepower for a Super Bowl run in 2021.

Ertz last season played in just 11 games, pulling in 36 passes for 336 yards and just one score in what was his lowest season production wise in his career which started back in 2013.

The Bills already have Dawson Knox as a tight end option, but frankly he's not the offensive threat that Ertz is.

Knox last year caught 24 passes for 288 yards and three scores, playing in 12 games, starting in seven of them.

Getting a tight end the calibar of Ertz would upgrade the offense for young quarterback Josh Allen and company moving forward. The question is - what's it going to cost the Bills in order to acquire a player with the resume and background fo Ertz.

Last season the tight end spot was a letdown for the Bills, as Knox combined with fellow tight ends Tyler Kroft and Lee to catch 40 passes for 442 yards and eight touchdowns.

Ertz alone can get to those numbers if he's back to the form of just a few years back (2018) when he caught 116 passes for 1163 yards and eight scores, making the Pro Bowl in the NFC.

The Bills competition is going to still be tough to land Ertz, including the Tennessee Titans, who last week finally snagged wide out Julio Jones and the Carolina Panthers who are looking to upgrade the tight end spot which was not up to snuff in 2021.

Look for Ertz to be on the move, it just remains to be seen where it's at.
