Wisconsin Football Continues To Deal With COVID Outbreak

Wisconsin was forced to cancel its game against Nebraska earlier this week due to an increase in positive COVID-19 cases. Unfortunately, it looks like the spread has not slowed down.

Early on Saturday morning, it was announced that there are now 22 total cases associated with the program, including 10 members of the staff. Brett McMurphy with Stadium broke the news via Twitter.

There is already concern with how the Badgers will proceed with the season due to the 21-day rule currently implemented by the Big Ten. If the number related to players reaches a critical point, how will things be able to proceed?

There are only eight regular season games on the schedule already. And there is absolutely no wiggle room for the conference either, as that schedule had zero bye weeks built in.

This is a situation worth monitoring for Big Ten players, coaches and fans. As we have already seen in Nebraska's situation, this won't only affect the team dealing with the outbreak. It could cause issues for any of the other teams on the upcoming schedule for Wisconsin.
