WATCH: Florida TE Kyle Pitts Takes Huge Hit From Georgia Safety

Kyle Pitts is one of the top playmakers in college football. The Florida tight end has been making big-time catches all season for the Gators. Before Saturday, Pitts had already produced 22 catches for 355 yards and a whopping seven touchdowns.

In the first half against Georgia, he already had two big catches for 59 yards and his eighth score of the season. But in an attempt to make his third catch, Pitts took a massive hit from Bulldogs safety Lewis Cine. Check it out.

Both players were forced to leave the game. Not just because of injury concerns, but Cine was also ejected for targeting -- and rightfully so. These are the sort of hits that college football is trying to move away from, and it is the clear-cut definition of targeting.

After trailing 14-0 to start the game, Florida has rallied by outscoring Georgia 31-7 since that time.

Considering the impact of Pitts on this football team, it will be interesting to see how the Gators do from a scoring standpoint without him. There are other weapons in the passing game for quarterback Kyle Trask, but Pitts' presence makes things extremely difficult for opposing defenses.

With injuries to Pitts, Cine and Georgia receiver Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint, this game has not been the Cocktail Party everyone had hoped.
