The Closer, Nick Saban, Shows Us How He Sells Alabama To Recruits

Bad news for the rest of college football: Nick Saban has another incredible draft class lined up and shows no sign of slowing down in his quest for total domination.

Rarely do we get an unfiltered look into how a genius like the 69-year-old Saban goes about landing a recruit, but thanks to a video shared over the weekend, we can finally see how it's done. The method seems pretty simple: Alabama sells itself. Either a high school recruit wants to practice against the best and win titles or he doesn't.

Nick doesn't pull any punches here. He's not in the mood to waste anyone's time, least of all his own. If a recruit is good enough to play for Alabama, it's up to him to sign on the dotted line.

This strategy has worked out just fine. According to Bud Elliott of CBS Sports, Nick's next class is going to be off the charts. On paper, it should win multiple national titles.

“Alabama’s class has 13 of the top 90 players in the country already signed. There are an incredible seven five-star prospects signed or committed. This includes the top two offensive tackles in the nation: JC Latham and Tommy Brockermeyer,” Elliott wrote. “The Tide have the No. 2 guard in Terrence Ferguson and the No. 1 center in James Brockermeyer. They also have four of the top 10 wide receivers in JaCorey Brooks, Agiye Hall, Christian Leary and JoJo Earl. Oh, and let’s add a verbal commitment from five-star running back Camar Wheaton, who will be signing his National Letter of Intent on Wednesday.”

What's going to stop Saban and the Tide? Perhaps an expanded playoff where Bama has more chances of slipping up. At this point, that appears the only hope for everyone else in college football.
