Ohio State Had Football Practice Today

This is noteworthy because it signals a belief that the wheels are in motion for a return to play.

Earlier this week, Ohio State president Kristina Johnson expressed confidence that there was a path to football season happening in the Big Ten this Fall.

Ohio State, Iowa, and Nebraska were the three Big Ten schools whose chancellor or president voted to preserve the Fall season. They will need to flip 5-6 others to finalize the return. On Tuesday, Big Ten commissioner Kevin Warren spoke to President Donald Trump about their mutual desire for a fast return to play.

Dan Patrick, who has emerged as a Big Ten insider in recent weeks, says the conference is targeting October 10th for a return to play. Virtually every national college football reporter is still painting a start around Thanksgiving as a long shot.
