Nick Saban Gets Third Negative Test, Will Coach Against Georgia

Nick Saban is officially back. After testing positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday, the Alabama head coach was able to put together three consecutive negative tests on Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning. Each test was conducted 24 hours apart.

So, what does this mean? It means Saban will be available to coach against No. 3 Georgia on Saturday night in Bryant-Denny Stadium. He will be on the sidelines leading his team like normal.

Surprisingly, NFL insider Adam Schefter was the first to report the breaking news via his Twitter account.

The importance of getting Nick Saban back for this matchup between the two only undefeated teams left in the SEC cannot be overstated. Offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian can focus solely on trying to call a flawless game plan against a formidable Georgia defense.

Saban can continue to act as the final decision-maker and adjuster.

Be sure to monitor the betting line with this new development, even if it was already trending in this direction. The Crimson Tide was a 5.5-point favorite, but that could get stretched to six or maybe even 6.5 before kickoff.
