Nice Guy Scott Van Pelt Joins In the Twitter Dragging of Dan Woken
You know coronabro Dan 'Woken' Wolken is having a bad day in his fight against sports when perennial nice guy Scott Van Pelt stops in his tracks to take a shot. Woken was up to his normal pontificating about SEC football players getting COVID when Van Pelt reminded him that regular people got or will get COVID whether they played SEC football or whether they stopped at Target and touched the wrong door handle without washing their hands.
"How many SEC football players and coaches ended up getting COVID? Not sure how you just skip that piece before patting yourself on the back for how the season went," Woken lectured SEC commissioner Greg Sankey via a Ross Dellenger tweet.
"I didn't play for an SEC football team. I wear masks, I don't go out into crowded places," SVP tweeted. "I followed suggested protocols. I "ended up getting it." Crazy, right?"
It didn't take long before the coronabro army started in on SVP about those poor unpaid college athletes being forced to play, which wasn't the case at all. SVP reminded Dan's fellow nerds that opt-out was an option for those who didn't feel comfortable playing.
It stinks that we've made it to the end of the college football season, but thank god this nonsense from Woken and his nerds can go away after Alabama-Ohio State. The pivot is coming soon and we'll know it's in effect when they start trumpeting Andy Cuomo's plan to reopen the economy and get businesses running before it's too late (we all know it's too late for thousands of New York businesses).
You guys knew this was a political charade on Woken's part, Peter King's part, Christine Brennan and the rest who had an election to win.
