Lane Kiffin Offers Origin Story Of Nick Saban, ‘Deez Nuts’ Jokes

Nick Saban loves telling "Deez Nuts" jokes. Yes, that's a real headline. The uptight Alabama head football coach uses it all the time, according to Ole Miss head football coach Lane Kiffin.

Kiffin told the media yesterday that former Alabama cornerback, now Baltimore Raven Marlon Humphrey taught Saban the saying, and it took off from there. Humphrey confirmed as much during his press availability yesterday.

"Saban is a good jokester," Humphrey said. "And I guess I'm just happy I left my mark."

We might not know what the ramifications will be, but we can all thank Alabama sophomore defensive back Jordan Battle for spilling the beans to the media earlier this week.

RIP to seeing Battle step foot on the podium while a member of the Crimson Tide. One can only imagine how furious Saban was when he saw one of his star players making jokes ahead of a pivotal game at No. 11 Florida on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
