Lance Taylor Talks LSU vs Auburn, Kentucky vs Florida With OutKick The Tailgate
TJ Finley goes back to Baton Rouge sporting a new Tigers jersey as quarterback for No. 22 Auburn, ready to face off against his former team: Ed Orgeron's LSU Tigers.
After stepping in for Bo Nix during last week's game against Georgia State, Finley earned savior status — leading Auburn to a 34-24 victory, completing 7-of-11 passes for 85 yards and one touchdown.
Leading up to game time, coach Bryan Harsin decided to stick with Nix — which Notre Dame's Lance Taylor thinks is the right move as he picks Saturday night's victor with OutKick The Tailgate.
"I kinda lean Auburn if Bo starts this game," answered Taylor. " can't run the football. I think Max Johnson's got a lot of potential, I think the defense could be good but if you can't run the football in the SEC you're not gonna win football games."
Taylor also gave his pick between the No. 10 Florida Gators and Kentucky Wildcats — a wildly unpredictable matchup.
"To put it into perspective, Kentucky has not beat Florida in Lexington since Top Gun was on the big screen," commented Taylor. "When you look at Liam Coen's offense the last couple of games, it reverts back to 2020. Just not a good offense these last couple of games, they're turning the football over."
