Kellen Moore Interviews For HC Job At Boise State, Cowboys' Jerry Jones Is About To Offer Him The Bag
Kellen Moore interviewed for the head coaching job at Boise State the day after Christmas. Judging from Moore's latest statement, he sounds like he's chomping at the bit to get back to that hideous blue field at Albertsons Stadium.
Despite Moore's apparent enthusiasm for his alma mater, Jerry Jones doesn't sound too worried about losing him. Jones was asked on 105.3FM this morning about Moore potentially ditching Dallas for his former team.
"Remember the two buzzards sitting on the limb? The one says, 'Patience my a**. I'm gonna kill something.' As they surveyed the landscape," Jones said.
"I'm not really demeaning patience. You've got to have it, I guess. But the bottom line is: when it's there, take it."
That's a long, drawn out way of saying Kellen Moore can like what he sees, but we're about to offer him a king's ransom to stay. Good for Kellen Moore. He's nearing an offer from his dream school, and he has the Dallas Cowboys to drive his price up.
Right now, Kellen Moore is making around $750,000 as offensive coordinator with the Cowboys, so expect that number to march north of $2 million wherever he ends up.
