Georgia Tech Freshman QB Has Entered Transfer Portal
Georgia Tech saw its quarterback depth chart take a hit on Monday.
Freshman signal-caller Tucker Gleason has entered the transfer portal. Kelly Quinlan with JacketsOnline confirmed the news that had come from an article on Rivals.com.
Gleason wasn't the only Yellow Jacket to announce his decision to enter the transfer portal. Sophomore defensive end Chico Bennett also said he would be looking to finish his college career elsewhere.
Gleason was rated as the No. 1041 overall player, No. 31 dual-threat quarterback and No. 136 player from the state of Florida, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He was a part of the 2020 recruiting cycle.
Quinlan mentioned on Monday that Gleason was listed as the fourth-string quarterback. He was playing behind starter Jeff Sims, as well as backups Jordan Yates and James Graham.
We'll have to wait and see where both of these players end up.
