Georgia Players Have Impressive Senior Bowl Showing

The 2021 Reese’s Senior Bowl took place on Saturday, and three former Georgia Bulldogs made an appearance in it.

The National Team took down the American Team 27-24 in Mobile, Ala., in a showcase of the top senior college football players from around the country.

Georgia tight end Tre' McKitty, defensive back Mark Webb and cornerback D.J. Daniel represented the Bulldogs, and all three made plays.

McKitty and Daniel earned honors as the top player of their respective position during practice leading up to Saturday's game.

Webb recorded five tackles, three of which were solo. During the regular season, Webb saw action in eight games. He started in three of them and finished the season with 21 total stops and an interception.

Daniel recorded one tackle but played tight coverage all game against some of the best receivers in the nation. Heading into the Senior Bowl, Daniel played in eight regular-season games and finished with nine total stops, one for lost yardage, and one pass breakup.

McKitty, who transferred from FSU, made one catch for 14 yards and was targeted twice during the Senior Bowl.

McKitty started at tight end in the last seven regular-season contests and finished the season with six catches for 108 yards and one touchdown.
