Frank Gore Calls Former Hurricane Best Player He's Ever Played With

When you've played 16 years in the NFL like Frank Gore has, it's inevitable that you're going to share a field with some of the best -- Super Bowl champions, Pro Bowlers, Hall of Famers, etc. But for Gore, one player stands out as the best of the bunch -- Sean Taylor, his former Miami Hurricane teammate.

"Sean Taylor was the best football player I ever played with. He could've gone pro at every position," Gore told Pardon My Take.

Gore still sounds mesmerized by Taylor's on-field traits decades later, telling PMT: "I'm being real, bro. Sean could play any position on the football field. Running back, receiver, linebacker, safety, corner. Any (position) you put him, and he gonna be f---ing real good at it."

Taylor, of course, was tragically murdered 14 years ago. He played just three and a half seasons for Washington and made two Pro Bowls after the team selected him fifth overall in the 2004 NFL Draft. He and Gore were teammates on the University of Miami's 2001 national championship team.

"He was a baller," Gore added.

That 2001 Miami team is considered by many to be the most talented roster in the history of college football. A record 38 players from the team were eventually drafted to the NFL, including an astounding 17 first-rounders. None of them were more impressive than Taylor though.

"I'm telling you, any position on the football field, he could do it, man. At a high level. I'm not just saying just put him there and hope he OK," said Gore. "He's gonna be the best at the position."

A guy going at "a high level" in any direction he wanted who mowed down everything in his path? Sounds like a Hurricane, indeed. RIP, legend.
