Former Ohio State Coach Meyer Says There's Plenty Of Connections Between He And Players He Scouted

Former Ohio State and now NFL Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer is ready for his first season in the NFL after wrapping up his first NFL Draft.

Meyer had the benefit of the first pick, and took the player that most thought was a no-brainer - that being Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

The team also was able to draft running back Travis Etienne, a player that many think will be able to be the next generation of good running backs produced by the Jaguars.

Cornerback Tyson Campbell is joining the Jaguars, as the Georgia corner was taken by the Jaguars with the 33rd overall pick in the second round of the weekend draft.

Last season the Jaguars just gave up too many big plays, and they are hoping that adding Campbell will make the Jaguars secondary that much better when the 2021 season gets started.

Meyer is getting a of credit for what the Jaguars were able to pull off draft weekend. We shall see if the hard work for the Jaguars and Meyer pays off.
