Dee Wiggins Catches Passes, Net Catches Dee Wiggins
Wide receivers are the ones who are supposed to do the catching. But on Saturday, it was a sideline net that was catching Miami wide receiver Dee Wiggins.
With the Hurricanes down 14-10 against Virginia Tech before halftime, quarterback D'Eriq King sent a pass too far out of bounds. Wiggins wasn't ready to give up on it, however. And it got him caught up in a kicking net on the sidelines.
Check it out below.
It was a scary moment at first that turned into humor.
Fortunately for the junior receiver from Miami, he wasn't harmed on the play. The Hurricanes had to let out a collective sigh of relief after watching Wiggins get up. King is going to need all the help he can get against a Virginia Tech defense that has done a nice job bottling him up though the first half.
Wiggins had 19 catches for 231 yards and two scores coming into today's game. Against the Hokies, he currently leads the team in receiving yards with 55 on four catches.
