Boise State Dominating Colorado State With ... Special Teams

It is only halftime of the Boise State-Colorado State game on Thursday night, yet the Broncos are already up big on the Rams. As it sits right now, the score is 42-7 with another half to go.

Boise State has only 171 yards of total offense and has only averaged 2.0 yards per carry tonight, however. So, what is the reason for the big lead? Well, the Broncos have three touchdowns tonight on special teams -- all of which came on blocked kicks.

The first was a blocked punt for a touchdown by Avery Williams on the first drive of the game.

The next came on a blocked field goal by Colorado State that Boise State returned for a score.

As if that wasn't enough already, the Broncos then blocked another punt that was, once again, returned for a touchdown.

This game is officially drunk. How do you let the opposing team block two punts and a field goal? To make things worse, how do you let them return all of them for a score? Sounds like a quick way to get blown out -- which is exactly what is happening.

Kirby Smart and Georgia might want to get on the horn and figure out how they can implement some of this stuff. It would help make up for a lackluster offense that has been beat big against quality opponents.

As for Boise State, way to bounce back following a 51-17 blowout loss to BYU last weekend.
