Bama Offers 6-Foot-4, 340-Pound 14-Year-Old A Scholarship

It's that time of year when Alabama goes shopping for the goods that will keep the football train rolling along, and this summer, the shopping cart includes 6-foot-4, 340-pound 14-year-old offensive lineman/defensive lineman Isendre Ahfua out of O'Dea High School in Seattle. Oh, and the kid dabbles at the fullback position.

Ahfua announced Wednesday night "after a great evening conversation" that Nick Saban has officially offered him a scholarship. It's been a busy few weeks for the big boy. He received scholarship offers from Nevada, Utah and USC before Nick Saban added him to his shopping cart.

If offering a 14-year-old seems a little bizarre, keep in mind that in 2018, Saban offered a scholarship to an 8th-grade kid named Jaheim Oatis. In April, Oatis committed to Saban after being courted for four years. The 6-foot-4, 350-pound Oatis is expected to be on campus a year from now.

What will the future hold for the massive Ahfua? One would have to assume he's on the same trajectory as Oatis. The Alabama recruiting machine will keep up on him, and then it'll eventually be time to see if he wants to relocate his life to Tuscaloosa and join Saban's football factory.

Let's see how the big boy moves:
