AP Top 25: No. 5 Michigan State, Wake Forest Breaks Top 10
Michigan State moved up to No. 5 in the AP Top 25 Poll for Week 10 released Sunday after the previously ranked No. 8 Spartans rallied to defeat the now ranked No. 9 Michigan on Saturday.
Georgia marked the fourth straight week the Bulldogs have kept the No. 1 spot in the AP Top 25 Poll after a dominant 34-7 win over the Florida Gators on Saturday. The No. 2 Cincinnati Bearcats, No. 3 Alabama Crimson Tide, and No. 4 Oklahoma Sooners all kept the same positions from Week 9's rankings into Week 10.
Despite holding off No. 22 Penn State on Saturday, No. 6 Ohio State slipped a spot from its previous No. 5 ranking in Week 9. Oregon held its No. 7 spot after beating the Colorado Buffaloes 52-29 on Saturday.
No. 8 Notre Dame beat North Carolina 44-34 to improve its ranking in Week 10, while No. 9 Michigan's ranking was impacted by the loss to Michigan State.
Wake Forest also entered the top 10 for the first time in school history.
No. 20 Houston is ranked for the first time under coach Dana Holgorsen after handing SMU its first loss of the season, the AP reports. The last time the Cougars were in the Top 25 was 2018.
