Former Kentucky guard, NBA Prospect Terrence Clarke Tragically Dies In Car Accident
The sports world got some heartbreaking news on Thursday night.
It is being reported that former Kentucky men's basketball player Terrence Clarke died in a car accident in Los Angeles. According to those reports from WKYT in Kentucky, Clarke and former teammate BJ Boston were leaving a workout when it happened.
Clarke died on his way to the hospital.
The only way to describe this situation is heartbreaking and tragic.
Clarke is a former top-10 recruit who was limited to only eight games with the Wildcats this season, but he did average 9.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists. Following the season, he declared for the NBA draft.
Both Clarke and Boston signed with an agent yesterday. He was only 19 years old.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Clarke's family and friends.
UPDATE: Soon after the news broke of Clarke's tragic passing, Kentucky men's basketball coach John Calipari tweeted out a statement asking for prayers for Clarke and his family.
