Duke's Season Appears To Be Over Following Positive COVID Test

It sounds strange to say this early in March, but it appears the Duke basketball season has reached an end.

Per reports, the Blue Devils are withdrawing from the ACC Tournament following a positive COVID-19 test result. Duke is currently 13-11 overall and 9-9 in the ACC -- hardly the type of record that will result in an at-large bid for the NCAA Tournament. The entire field will be announced Sunday.

Sadly for Duke, things had been picking up lately. The program won its first two games in the ACC Tourney, upending Louisville on Wednesday to advance.

As an aside, Blue Devils coach Mike Krzyzewski decided against having the team stay in Greensboro for the ACC games. Instead, they were making a daily commute from Durham.

Duke was scheduled to play Florida State on Thursday in the next round. Now, the Seminoles will receive a forfeit and advance to the semifinals.
