Trae Young's Tripping Allegation Has Grayson Allen Fighting Back
Grayson Allen, who isn't known for fighting back after one of his patented tripping incidents, is firing back at Trae Young after the Hawks guard implied Allen purposely tripped him during Saturday's game against Memphis.
"Damn...tell me what y'all see!! Smh this gotta stop!" Young tweeted Sunday afternoon. Allen wasn't having it. "Damn that must’ve really really hurt. I’m sorry. I hope you’re okay," he tweeted.
So far the war of words stopped right there between the players.
Now for the bad news: these two teams won't play each other again through March 3. The NBA has yet to release the second half of the schedule, but the Association better be thinking for back-to-back matchups between Young and Allen. I don't care one bit about the NBA before the second week of May unless there's some sort of unusual drama and this is a legitimate reason to watch these two teams play.
This could turn into a fistfight at any moment. We have reached the point where Young has made this feud Twitter official. The only way you settle this is by throwing fists like the old school NBA.
As for Saturday's game, Atlanta (2-0) won 122-112. Young had 36 points and nine assists; Allen scored 10.
