Reggie Miller Brings Logic Into Pippen Racism Accusations: 'That, I Don't Roll With'

Scottie Pippen held nothing back once again the other day, this time firing a major shot at his former head coach Phil Jackson. And now one of Pippen's former NBA contemporaries has vehemently disagreed with his claims. 

Reggie Miller never played for the Chicago Bulls, but he responded to Pippen's implication that Jackson decided to give Kukoc the final shot of a game because of his race.

“No, no,” Miller said on Monday's episode of the Dan Patrick Show. “See, I don’t agree with that. No, no, no, no. There’s plenty of times I’ve been a decoy on the Pacers team. There’s just times when that has to be the case because everyone assumes and knows the ball’s going to go to you. And sometimes, you have to be a decoy. The whole racial point, no, absolutely not. That, I don’t roll with.”

SportsCasting.com reports that Miller made strong points, and he may be right that Jackson’s decision was not a racial move, but it’s hard to know for sure because Miller wasn’t in that locker room with the Bulls.

The article states there could be things about Jackson no one knows and that could have gone unreported, but it is also possible Pippen is still upset he didn’t get the last shot.

Jackson or another former Bull could help clear the air, and it would be helpful to hear another insider’s perspective. Unfortunately, we may never get one.
