NBA Trade Roundup

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski sent off (probably) too many tweets for anyone to keep track of before the NBA's 3 p.m. trade deadline. Luckily for you, I rounded up all the trades that mattered.

Here ya go:

Blazers receive Norman Powell for Gary Trent Jr. & Rodney Hood

Monster deal here for the Portland Trailblazers, who were looking for a shooter and found one who's much better than Trent Jr. With Jusef Nurkic returning to the lineup Friday vs. Orlando, the Blazers should be a force again in the west.

Powell's shooting over 40% from deep this season. That'll play.

Victor Oladipo to Miami for Avery Bradley, Kelly Olynyk, and a '22 draft pick swap

Don't want to say Victor Oladipo is "the big fish," but he kinda was during this trade deadline period. He averaged 20 points a night on a dismal Houston Rockets team and looks to revitalize his career with Pat Riley and that Miami Heat "culture" everyone can't stop talking about.

JJ Reddick to the Mavericks

A bonafide sniper from deep that Luka Doncic can rely on down the stretch. There hasn't been much to be excited about in Dallas this season, so finding a reliable shooting guard for a 22-year-old Doncic sounds like a solid plan.

Rajón Rondo to the Clippers for Lou Williams

Yes, that means Lou Williams is back in Magic City for some lemon pepper wings and strippers. Basketball wise, Rondo serves as a leader who allows Kawhi Leonard and Paul George to worry more about themselves. We saw last postseason that the Clippers had no leadership qualities in that locker room, and that should no longer be an issue after today's move.

Also, Lou Will said he'd retire last month if he were traded. If we received a job transfer from Beverly Hills to Atlanta, we'd probably quit too.

George Hill to Philly

A million moving pieces in this deal, so here's the full trade:

Solid back up point guard behind Ben Simmons who's emerging as a defensive monster. This gives Philly a reliable option off the bench whenever Simmons needs a breather. He'll be pivotal in a playoff series in June when Giannis is exhausting the Philadelphia team. And he can shoot too. (That helps.)

Aaron Gordon to the Nuggets

Another big splash from a Western Conference squad. LeBron is now expected to miss another 4-6 weeks, according to Yahoo's Sham Charania, so teams out west seem to be getting more aggressive.

Jamal Murray, Will Barton, Michael Porter Jr., Aaron Gordon, Nikola Jokic. Filthy.

Buy-outs:

Last but certainly not least are the buy-outs. LaMarcus Aldridge and Andre Drummond both agreed to buy-outs before the deadline. Drummond, who averaged 17.5 points and 13.5 rebounds a game this season, is expected to land with the Lakers. However, there are other teams in the fold: New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets, and Celtics to name a few.

Aldridge is also in the works for the Los Angeles Lakers. He's probably seen as more of a backup, just in case Drummond pivots elsewhere. Miami is also in the mix, and given Boston's struggles in the paint this year, they're probably calling him as well.
