Markelle Fultz's Revival Derailed By Torn ACL

After just signing a three-year, $50 million extension with the Orlando Magic, the Markelle Fultz revenge train has fallen off the tracks. OutKick's Dr. David J. Chao observed the angle of the injury and projected that Fultz had torn an ACL. Unfortunately, Chao was correct.

Watch:

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Fultz has suffered a torn ACL and will miss the rest of the season. This play can be described as a non-contact injury, and that's never a good sign.

Fultz previously dealt with nerve damage in his shoulder that lead to a broken shooting motion early in his career, but he's since repaired the jumper. Now, the fourth-year guard and 2017 No. 1 overall pick is likely out until at least 2022 with another devastating injury.

We know folks don't usually feel too bad for a player with over $70 million in his checking guaranteed, but it's still incredibly sad. Fultz just started to get going, but now, he's been derailed again.
