Jeremy Lin Inks To Play For Golden State's G-League Team The Santa Cruz Warriors

It has been awhile since we've heard from NBA baller Jeremy Lin, who at one point took the game by storm with his play back in 2012 when he helped the New York Knicks go on a memorable seven-game winning streak.

Since then, the 33-year-old has bounced around the league, playing for eight teams total, most a season at a time. He spent last year with the Beijing Ducks in China.

Now Lin is set to make a comeback in the States. Shams Charania of The Athletic reports Lin is signing a deal to play for the Santa Cruz Warriors, the G-League team of the Golden State Warriors.

Lin had a deal in place with the Santa Cruz Warriors before the season started, but the deal fell through due to a paperwork issue from his time with the Beijing Ducks.

Now everything appears in order, and Lin is set to make the jump back to the States and, hopefully, start the climb back to the NBA.

In his last NBA stint back in the 2018-19 season, Lin played for the Atlanta Hawks as well as the Toronto Raptors.

Coming off the bench for the Hawks, he averaged 10.7 points per game while shooting 34.7 percent from three-point range.

He played in 23 games with the Raptors, averaging seven points a night and becoming the first Asian-American player to win an NBA title.

When he didn't land another NBA spot the following season, he decided to go back to play in China.

Lin has now put out a heartfelt letter to his fans in China, describing the last week and some of the turmoil and rumors he's been dealing with while trying to wrap up the deal to come back to the US.

“I hope I can tell you directly about me. I have decided to participate in the G-League bubble with Santa Cruz in February and will play 12 games,” said Lin in a translated Weibo post.

“Although this team is affiliated with the Warriors, I can sign with any team at any time, so I will continue to to my best to become the best.

“I really want to sincerely thank all fans for their continued support. I know this is a difficult week with a lot of rumours and news, but this decision is ultimately based on my beliefs and the pursuit of my dreams."
