Heat Trade Meyers Leonard To OKC For Trevor Ariza

The Miami Heat have just traded Meyers Leonard and a second-round pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Trevor Ariza, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The deal comes just six days after Leonard used anti-Semitic language on his personal Twitch stream. Guess his apology fell on deaf ears.

The old "sticks and stones" phrase apparently was a farce because the Miami Heat just ran Meyers Leonard out of town. Yes, the owner was Jewish, but Leonard did apologize for his viral mishap. What's clear here is that cancel culture continues to be an issue for celebrities.

Everyone in the public eye is one "mistake" away from losing their job. I insist on mentioning that Leonard purchased a $7.75 million mansion in Miami just last week. No one's feeling sorry for the former Miami big man, yet it's still important to mention that we too can be cancelled like this. I mean, who hasn't said a one-liner in their lives that would get them in trouble in today's climate? Will we have any celebrities left by 2025?
