Charles Oakley Says Jordan And Pippen 'Will Never Speak Again'

Charles Oakley told The Ringer's Bill Simmons that Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen will never speak again. A bold claim to make regarding the greatest duo of all-time. But when you release a docuseries that rips the best teammate you ever had, a frayed relationship can be expected.

"Scottie (Pippen) felt left out," Oakley said. "He felt they wouldn't have won six titles if it wasn't for him."

Oakley would then say he asked Jordan if he could've won more with Pippen or Magic Johnson?

"He said 'Scottie because he could do more on the floor than Magic could'."

Charles Oakley and Bill Simmons would agree that Scottie was the most underrated player of that generation and that appears to be why Pippen can't stand Jordan. When you feel you played a key role in six championship titles and basketball fans shower Jordan with all the praise and you with all the blame, that can get frustrating.

Especially considering Netflix's "Last Dance" made Scottie Pippen look like a money-hungry child throughout. Sure, a lot of what was shown was accurate however the documentary seemed to harp on Pippen's missteps and change the way fans felt about him long-term.

It's really sad to see basketball's original peanut butter and jelly turn this sour against one another. A relationship we hope can mesh again someday.
