Yankee Stadium Sees Increased Capacity Amid Governor's Scandals
Yankee Stadium announced that apart from a fully open area designated for vaccinated Americans, the stadium will also be expanding capacity for all fans to 33%.
In a post-game interview on Friday, Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres said that the energy at Yankee Stadium after seeing the stadium’s increased capacity of fans felt unlike anything the team has seen since the beginning of last year’s shutdowns.
“We feel like we were playing a playoff game tonight,” said Torres, whose triple play against the White Sox helped propel New York to a win Friday night.
The good news of expanding reopening mandates across New York comes on the heels of another Cuomo-related scandal, this time centered around Chris Cuomo, whose position at CNN lent to criticism after getting caught advising older brother Governor Andrew Cuomo on how to handle the media’s coverage during ongoing investigations of sexual harassment.
Some wonder as to whether the lifting of COVID restrictions are merely a play at distracting people in New York from the negative press that Governor Cuomo and his brother are seeing.
Ever since releasing a book on leadership, engaging in on-air hijinks with little brother Chris Cuomo, and experimenting with barbell-shaped body art, the Governor once revered by the Left continues to make headlines for all the wrong reasons as he free-falls from the glory days of potential candidacy for President.
