Update: White Sox' Eloy Jimenez Out 5-6 Months With Torn Pectoral
White Sox left fielder Eloy Jimenez is expected to miss five or six months with a torn pectoral after yesterday's collision at the wall. It's a devastating blow to a team with World Series expectations.
Here's the play:
Chicago is deep with talent, so they should have some answers offensively elsewhere in that lineup, but this is still brutal. It's never ideal for any team worth a rip to lose an everyday player--let alone a borderline star like Eloy Jimenez.
Jimenez batted .296 last season with 14 homers and 41 RBI. Good luck replacing that...
