A Noah Syndergaard vs. Trevor Bauer Friday night Twitter beef-off erupted as I was watching FCS Opening Night on ESPN+ with the faux fireplace cranking and my favorite blanket putting me into a coma. It appears I missed a vintage Twitter beef-off where Syndergaard opened up the beef by taking a shot at Bauer who almost signed with the Mets, then signed with the Dodgers, then seemed to have trolled Mets fans with some links that he said went live but they shouldn't have.

"Mets fans, I owe you an explanation and apology," Bauer wrote in a Twitter thread. "My intention was never to mislead your fan base, nor was it to troll you in any way."

Bauer then said he'd donate $10,000 to charities in New York to prove he's sincere. Enter Syndergaard on a Friday night in Florida with nothing to do but fire up the Twitter account.
