LIST: Teams That Have Returned From A 3-1 Deficit To Win World Series

After the Braves' 3-2 victory in game 4, the Astros are forced to live with the unlikely task of overcoming a 3-1 World Series deficit. A feat only SIX teams have accomplished.

Here's the list:

The 1925 Pittsburgh Pirates over the Washington Senators

1958 New York Yankees over the Braves

1968 Detroit Tigers over the St. Louis Cardinals

1979 Pittsburgh Pirates over the Orioles

1985 Kansas City Royals over the St. Louis Cardinals

and last but certainly not least..... the 2016 Chicago Cubs over the Indians

So can the Astros do it? Their starting pitching suggests it's possible

If we're going to determine the Astros' chances, we have to mention the Braves lack of starting pitching. Houston isn't exactly loaded, however they're much more prepared for a seven-game series than Atlanta out of sheer experience. Unfortunately for Atlanta, their most reliable starter all year, Charlie Morton, went down in game 1's win with a featured fibula.

A freak injury that leaves the Braves with struggling left-handed starter Max Fried and a bunch of young bucks. Ian Anderson was dynamite his last start out, but where this gets dicy is late in the series. If Fried can't be relied on of late, who's the only experiences starter they have left, is it that far fetched to believe Houston can do this?

It's entirely possible the Astros believe winning tonight's game 5 puts all the pressure back onto Atlanta. Extend the series and force the Braves to get production out of young arms on the road. Manager Dusty Baker and the Astros ain't dead yet -- the stars may align for a jaw dropping comeback.

Side note: we hope the Braves with this thing to witness commissioner Rob Manfred embarrass himself in front of millions as he hands over the trophy to Atlanta. He robbed that market of millions to relocate to Colorado -- least the baseball gods could do make him pay.
