Georgia Governor Brian Kemp Joins Clay To Discuss MLB Moving All-Star Game

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp joined OutKick founder Clay Travis on his radio show, OutKick the Coverage, on Monday morning. For those who have not had a chance to listen, he was absolutely fantastic.

Kemp has been outspoken about Major League Baseball's decision to move the All-Star Game out of the state of Georgia. He says that decision was the result of political pressure, not because of anything having to do with the law.

"That's the thing about Major League Baseball," Kemp told Clay. "It was never about what was in the law. It was about -- the same with Delta and Coca-Cola -- it was about how much political pressure they were getting that they could not actually stand up to these activists, activist board members or other individual from high-profile people that were protesting them.

"Some big corporate CEOs and some former CEOs that's basically pressuring these companies when they live in New York and New Jersey themselves that have more restrictive laws than we do. It just does not add up."

Kemp is right. It doesn't add up, and this tweet from Fox & Friends weekend co-host Will Cain does a great job explaining why. The MLB is choosing to move the All-Star Game out of Georgia, but we haven't heard anything about the league's headquarters being located in New York.

Kemp wants the truth about this new law to be heard. He's tired of people such as President Joe Biden and Stacey Abrams pushing lies about what is actually in the bill.

"If people look at the truth and actually compare what is in our law and what this bill is doing as far as adding accessibility, but also making sure we have secure elections, you know I don't think we're going to have any issues," Kemp said.

He then did a nice job summarizing the issue.

"There's one thing for sure. As I said earlier, someone's lying to you here," Kemp said. "It's either the President, Stacey Abrams or me. And I can assure you, it is not me."

The fascinating conversation continued with Clay pointing out more hypocrisy coming from the Democrats, using Abrams as a prime example.

Abrams lost the 2018 Georgia governor election to Kemp by 50,000 votes. As Clay points out, she refused to concede and said the election was rigged, a move that has made her a star of the Democratic Party. In that instance, Abrams was labeled a hero, but when former president Donald Trump took a similar route with the 2020 election, he was banned from social media.

Kemp's response was quite interesting.

"People need to realize Stacey Abrams is making millions off of this whole scam she's got going on of pressuring people and getting these big donors to support all different organizations," Kemp said. "You don't even know how many there are, and how many she's profiting from. And it's not just her. There's a lot of other people doing this too.
