Fenway Park Set To Return To Full Capacity, Gillette Stadium Too

And here we thought only baseball stadiums in the Southeast and Texas were opening to 100% capacity. But look out Rangers, Astros and others, because here come Red Sox fans.

That's because Fenway Park will be operating at full capacity starting May 29, Red Sox president Sam Kennedy said in a statement.

The decision to open the famed stadium at full capacity came on the heels of Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker announcing the lifting of the state's restrictions.

Also slated to return to full seating: Gillette Stadium, home of the Patriots, and TD Garden, home of the Celtics and Bruins.

“Today’s update to the reopening plan will allow Fenway Park to begin operating at full capacity beginning on May 29 for games and concerts throughout the summer,” Kennedy said in a statement. “We thank Governor Baker, Lt. Governor Polito, Mayor Janey and the numerous public health officials who have been extraordinary partners guiding us every step of the way.”

Meanwhile, a Patriots spokesperson confirmed to WHDH-TV that Gillette Stadium will also open to full capacity for all events on the same day.

TD Garden also released a statement.

So it's not just the South and Southeast anymore. Now the Northeast is opening up and allowing fans to see their teams live, too.
