Coors Field To Open To 100% Capacity, Drop Mask Mandate

Add Coors Field to the list of venues that will allow a full house, and given the way the Colorado Rockies' season is going, they could probably use all the support they can get.

But it's true -- Coors Field is opening to 100% capacity for Rockies games for the first time since 2019. The fun begins June 28.

Once that date kicks in, masks will no longer be required inside the stadium.

Obviously, all of this means the All-Star Game will have full, maskless attendance on July 13. The All-Star Game was moved to Coors Field from Atlanta earlier this season after Georgia passed a law that many Democrats implied will limit ballot access.

"Colorado began the season with a cap of 21,363 fans (42.6% capacity) for the first month of the season, and that cap got bumped to 35,101 (70% capacity) for June, beginning with Tuesday night’s series opener against the Rangers," the Denver Post relayed.

The Rockies entered Wednesday with a record of 21-34 and in fourth place in the NL East. They are scheduled to host the Pittsburgh Pirates on June 28.
