Baseball Stadiums Across California Set to Fully Reopen June 15

Good times are back for California, the state known for maintaining the nation’s strictest COVID lockdown measures. On June 15th, baseball stadiums across the Sunshine State will be able to fully welcome back fans across different teams, such as the Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres, Anaheim Angels, and San Francisco Giants. 

The Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres both released statements on Twitter on Friday announcing that all signs are a-go for full capacity of fans to be welcomed by the proposed reopening date. 

These teams will be joining the movement toward reopening America, also including teams like the Nationals and Red Sox that recently announced their plans for full capacity. 

The reigning World Series champion Dodgers will face the Philadelphia Phillies for their June 10th game. 

Joining the news of California’s reopening after a miserable year for its residents, masks will not be required for vaccinated fans as the counties continues to encourage people without the vaccine to cover up for the game. Mask mandates will be dropped and no proof of vaccination will be required.

With plans to lift statewide tier system in June, first introduced by Gavin Newsom, California residents are ready to restart their lifestyles after last year’s COVID panic kept many indoors with no options but to avoid fellow Californians at all times. 

After watching the Dodgers win the 2020 World Series, fans will be eager to return to Dodgers Stadium and celebrate America’s return to normalcy — Dodger Dog in hand.
