Angels Manager Joe Maddon Does A 'Walk Of Shame' After Being Ejected In Saturday's Game

Los Angeles Angels manager Joe Maddon had a rather short night on Saturday during the Angels 15-1 blowout loss to the Toronto Blue Jays, but that wasn't the big story in a game which saw the Jays score the first 10 runs.

Maddon watched as his club allowed seven runs in the second, and in the top of the third he had decided that he'd seen enough and was ready for an early shower.

The World Series winning manager with the Chicago Cubs back in 2016 was ejected after a call didn't go the Angels way, but that still wasn't the rather funny portion of the story.

The Blue Jays are currently playing their 'home' games in their minor-league facility in Dunedin, Florida, a park that most are not all that familiar with.

The reason behind the switch to the minor league park is that there are too many travel restrictions into and out of Canada.

The stadium, TD Ballpark, is never going to remind you of a Major League park, which normally would have the clubhouse connected right to the dugout under the seats of the stadium, easy access for players and coaches.

If a skipper is thrown out, all he has to do is walk into the dugout down the tunnel to get to his clubhouse.

That wasn't so easy for Maddon on Saturday night.

Maddon had to walk down the third base line before he could exit the field for the visiting tent.

Call it the 'walk of shame' for a manager who is not use to having to figure out where to go just to get to his clubhouse.

For the Angels and Maddon, it was a night to forget all the way around losing by 14 runs.
