That Guy Is Rich! Guy Fieri Inks Huge $80 Million Dollar Three-Year Extension With Food Network

If you're a fan of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives or Guy's Grocery Games, then you're a happy camper today after the announcement that Guy Fieri will stick around at the Food Network for the next 36 months.

The two sides have come together on a new deal, one that will reportedly pay him $80 million with a three-year extension on his current contract.

A report says that the deal for Fieri is $50 million over his current deal.

The deal makes the 53-year-old the top-paid chef on cable television. Fieri didn't comment on the new TV deal, which Forbes pegs at roughly $26 million a year.

In comparison, celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse was paid around $8 million a year by the Food Network in the early 2000s, and even that was a ton of money for a celeb chef.

Another famous television reality show chef, Gordon Ramsay, made about $20 mil last year, but he needed a ton of shows all over network television to do it. The chef had shows like Hell's Kitchen, 24, Kitchen Nightmares, Masterchef, Masterchef Junior, and The 'F' Word.

In 2020, Ramsay wound up making $70 million overall, but more than two-thirds of that came from his 35 restaurants worldwide and other deals, not his TV appearances.

He was the 19th top-earning celebrity in America in 2020. Fieri has never appeared on the Forbes top celebrities earners list.

Fieri's longest-running show, Diners, Drive Ins and Dives, which has been on air since 2006, generated more than $230 million in 2020 ad revenue for the Food Network, according to data analytics firm Kantar.
