Harassment? What Harassment? MSNBC Avoids Chris Cuomo Story

Isn’t it funny how the leftist mainstream media not only covers for all Democrat politicians, but also for competing leftists news outlets these days?

When news of CNN’s latest scandal recently broke—indisputable evidence of Chris Cuomo sexual harassing a colleague in 2005—it should have been the lead story for all news networks, given both the popularity of the #MeToo movement and the incessant reporting of daily Trump hearsay from “reputable” sources like porn stars and ambulance chasers.

But other leftist outlets like MSNBC stayed silent, further solidifying their complicity in the great abandonment of fair and balanced reporting in the modern age.

The news was straightforward and true: veteran TV producer Shelley Ross alleged in a New York Times essay published Friday morning that CNN anchor Chris Cuomo grabbed her buttock at an event in 2005 when the two of them worked at ABC News. Ross included an email that Cuomo sent to her at the time, apologizing for the incident. Cuomo double-downed on his apology to in a statement to the Times, thereby validating the story and eliminating all doubt regarding its newsworthiness.

According to Grabien transcripts, though, MSNBC opted to skip coverage altogether, as if the harassment never even happened. Unsurprisingly, it’s not the first time the Peacock shingle has covered for its rival/ally: MSNBC also declined to cover much of Cuomo's involvement in the scandals of his brother, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, which involved carrying water amidst sexual misconduct accusations, as well as receiving VIP COVID tests in the early months of the pandemic. 

The list of newsroom oversights in the name of leftist politics goes on and on. MSNBC failed to mention Jeffrey Toobin’s return to CNN after his embarrassing Zoom debacle, and then CNN quietly ignored rapper Nicki Minaj’s viral spat with MSNBC host Joy Reid, instead opting to focus on Minaj’s vaccine tweets.

Everyone knows the game is rigged at this point, but the abandonment of all journalistic integrity is still a sight to behold. I guess the old adage is true in the cutthroat media business, as well: the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
