Four Women Subpoenaed as Cuomo Investigation Advances

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s accusers have reportedly been subpoenaed to provide sworn testimony.

Four women who have accused Cuomo of sexual misconduct have been formally asked to testify under oath, which the New York Times reports "underscores the investigation’s progress beyond an initial fact-finding phase, during which lawyers interviewed multiple women at length, but not under oath."

Former gubernatorial aide Charlotte Bennett, who accused Cuomo of sexual advances while the pair were alone, is expected to testify under oath in the next two weeks, the Daily News reports.

“Looking forward to this,” Bennett tweeted Saturday morning.

The New York Times reports three other accusers confirmed receipt of their subpoenas, and an email for a response from the governor’s office was not immediately returned Saturday.

Cuomo also faces an impeachment inquiry after 10 women made public accusations of his inappropriate comments and unwanted advances.

Cuomo issued yet another denial of the sexual harassment charges earlier this week.

“Harassment is not making someone feel uncomfortable,” he said during an appearance in the Bronx, per Daily News. “That is not harassment. If I just made you feel uncomfortable, that is not harassment. That is you feeling uncomfortable.”
