Braves’ Freddie Freeman Celebrates His Wife: A Former Model & Mother of 3
Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman has a lot to celebrate this year.
He's coming off his best season in the big leagues where he hit .341 and crushed 13 home runs, leading him to take home the 2020 National League Most Valuable Player Award.
He led the MLB with 51 runs scored and ranked second in the NL in batting average (.341), on-base percentage (.462), slugging percentage (.640), OPS (1.102) and wRC+ (187).
But his wife and the mother of his children stole the show during the Mother's Day game. After the game, Freddie said he wanted to hit a home run for his wife and the mother of his three children, Chelsea ... and he did just that.
The 31-year-old Freeman is married to his loving and supportive wife Chelsea Freeman, FanBuzz reports. The two began dating in 2011 and tied the knot in 2014.
The mother of three attended the University of Central Florida and previously modeled at gigs for brands like Harley Davidson and Ferrari, per Heavy.com. She has also worked as a real estate agent for Keller Williams, per her LinkedIn.
Their first son, Charlie, was born in 2016. Chelsea was then told by doctors she may not be able to have more kids after his birth, FanBuzz reports.
The couple still wanted a big family, so they made plans for an embryo transfer.
Just over a week before the procedure, Chelsea told Freddie she was pregnant with their second child — Brandon John, born Dec. 30. He is named in honor of Chelsea's grandfather, ESPN reports.
The couple went through with the embryo transfer as well and welcomed Maximus Turner, born on Valentine's Day. His middle name is a reference to the ballpark where Freddie played his first home game with the Atlanta Braves.
