Tiger Woods Shoots Disappointing 77 In First Round of JP McManus Pro-Am
The star-studded field at the JP McManus Pro-Am is well into its second and final round today at the Adare Manor Golf Resort in Limerick, Ireland.
Tiger Woods is one of the 50 Pros competing, and he carded a disappointing 77 in his opening round.
A crowd of 40,000 followed the stars around, with the biggest crowds around Tiger's group. The field included Xander Schauffele, who currently leads the event, Justin Thomas, Rickie Fowler and Colin Morikawa. Jordan Spieth was in the field but was disqualified after picking up his ball on the 14th green.
The pros use this as a tune-up for the open championship that starts a week from Thursday. They are joined by celebrities and powerful people this year including Bill Murray, Niall Horan, and Jon Terry.
Many of the golfers from the LIV tour were included in this field. Brooks Koepka shot an opening-round 69. Dustin Johnson, Pat Perez and Bryson Dechambeau also are playing, but none of them are near the lead.
