Bryson DeShamBuff Declines Pairing With Brooks Koepka

Apparently Bryson DeChambeau was asked to pair with Brooks Koepka at the US Open this weekend -- and he declined. Brad Faxon joined SiruisXM PGA Tour to talk with Michael Breed where he heard about the possibility.

"I found out last night that the USGA actually did call Bryson DeChambeau and his agent to ask if they would be okay with that, and Bryson declined," Faxon said.

What a wanker.

First of all, this implies that Brooks was also consulted and likely gave the USGA the 'go.' Which makes perfect sense since Koepka is winning this back and forth, while Bryson is busy kicking fans out for calling him "Brooksie."

Secondly, and probably most importantly, this was the perfect opportunity to right the ship when "The Match" failed to give us Brooks-Rodgers vs. Bryson-Brady.

Both Brooks and Bryson claim they're moving on from this whole issue, but what fun is there in that? And to be fair to golf fans around the world, their dismay of DeChambeau is well deserved. He came out and made Augusta National sound easy by calling the tournament a "par-67," and then he rudely interrupted Brooks' interview after Round Two at the PGA Championship. He's coming across as an asshat.

Man up or get out the kitchen

If Bryson wants to yield, he's free to do so, but he should at least acknowledge he bit off more than he could chew. Meanwhile, Brooks and Michelob Ultra are laughing their way to the bank as they milk this feud.
