Zach Wilson's Ex Gets Engaged To His Former Roommate & Best Friend A Week After He Popped The Question
Zach Wilson turned a "dream" bikini-filled vacation with his girlfriend Nicolette Dellanno into an engagement celebration at the end of June.
The Denver Broncos quarterback shared the news of his engagement on social media with an apparent swipe at his ex-girlfriend Abbey Gile. He said, "To the love of my life, I never truly understood what love was until I met you."
Shots fired by Wilson there at the ex who started those MILF Hunter rumors about him. He continued, "You’re not just my partner, but my best friend and my everything. I can’t wait to make a lifetime of memories with you, Nic❤️I love you."
What an announcement. It has it all. There's clearly love and romance, but there's also a message for his ex before his off-season battle for the Broncos starting quarterback job really heats up.
His ex and her boyfriend, his former best friend and BYU roommate, Dax Milne - a Washington Commanders wide receiver - decided the proposal couldn't go unanswered.
And just like that, his first competition of the off-season was underway.
Zach Wilson's Proposal Didn't Go Unanswered By His Former Best Friend And His Ex-Girlfriend
Roughly a week after Wilson popped the question, Milne got down on a knee and proposed to accused "homie hopper" Abbey Gile. Never forget:
Milne, who has a career 15 receptions for 120 yards and a touchdown since entering the NFL in 2021, simply captioned his post announcing the completely coincidental engagement, "She said YES❤️💍."
Wilson hasn't had a ton of success in the win column throughout his NFL career, but when it comes to the head-to-head battles with his ex, all he does is win.
Social media took his side when it was revealed that his ex was dating his former BYU roommate. The rumor that he hooked up with his mom's best friend caused interest in his jersey to skyrocket and made him a meme star.
Wilson then bounced back from the split with an influencer, while his ex jumped into a relationship with one of his friends. That all led up to the off-season of dueling proposals. For which you have to hand another W to the Broncos quarterback.
Whether Wilson beats out Jarrett Stidham and Bo Nix for the starting job or not, he's had an incredible off-season already, and he's going to be just fine.
